Why was “x” VPN removed from the tier list?

VPNs are subject to removal if they do not

adhere to the affiliate guidelines.

Problems with the tier list:

Most VPNs are professional and respect my review process. However, once in awhile VPNs get a bit too invested into trying to indirectly control my reviews and it causes issues. The VPNs here are such examples, which has led me to no longer review them—or heavily warn users of the said issues.

  1. TorGuard (Still being reviewed—but reviews can be affected by teams unprofessional demeanor): TorGuard VPN, a long time front runner of the channel, blocked us sometime in July 2024 on social media, and suspended affiliate accounts without warning or any explanation. This was directly after TorGuard had been demoted in the rankings following lagging development timelines, abandoned forums, and a decline in popularity. Any public complaints on their forums from other unpaid affiliates are usually censored and deleted as seen here. However, a simple google search can reveal tons of complaints about the company with unpaid dues. Even Google’s AI seems to catalogue the issue.

  2. Windscribe (No longer being reviewed): Windscribe has been removed from our recommendations due to their involvement in harassing and inciting harassment against this channel for 8 years. They have actively engaged in a campaign of intimidation and bullying, targeting our platform and attempting to undermine our credibility. Upon investigating their official Discord server, we discovered that our channel has been mentioned an astounding 243 times. This level of targeted harassment and bullying is not only unethical but also goes against the core values of respect, professionalism, and integrity that we uphold. As a result, we can no longer recommend or endorse Windscribe's services, regardless of any potential affiliate partnerships we may have had with them in the past.

  3. IVPN (No longer being reviewed): Similar to Windscribe, IVPN has engaged in harassment and encouraging others to harass our channel on other public channels. They have participated in spreading misinformation and making baseless accusations in an attempt to discredit our work. This behavior is unacceptable and does not align with our standards of integrity and fairness. Consequently, IVPN has been removed from our tier list and is no longer recommended. We will not tolerate any form of harassment or attempts to compromise our independence.

  4. WeVPN (No longer being reviewed): WeVPN has been removed from the list as the company has unfortunately closed down. As they are no longer operating, we cannot include them in our recommendations.

  5. AtlasVPN (No longer being reviewed): AtlasVPN has also ceased operations, migrated customers to NordVPN, and is no longer available. Therefore, they have been removed from our tier list.

  6. IvacyVPN (No longer being reviewed):seems shut down.

Please note that these removals are based on the actions and status of the respective VPN providers. We strive to maintain a tier list that reflects reliable, trustworthy, and ethical VPN services. Our recommendations are subject to change as we continually assess the performance and conduct of VPN providers in the industry.
